Sønderskov kollegiet (SK)

Sønderskovkollegiet is a well-established student residence located at Skovvej 22 in Sønderborg. The building was constructed between 1971-1972, with a significant renovation in 1994 that introduced new accommodations on the top floor. The complex consists of two four-story blocks with a total of 176 residential units, offering a variety of layouts for different needs. Available are 136 one-room apartments (22-30 m²), 8 two-room apartments (41 m²), and 32 three-room apartments (61-63 m²). All apartments are designed for independent living, featuring a private kitchen equipped with hotplates or a stove, a refrigerator, and a private bathroom with a shower. Most accommodations also feature a balcony, except for a few units on the top floor. The apartments are rented unfurnished but come equipped with window blinds and lamps. Communal facilities offer a wide range of amenities. Block A houses the fitness room, while Block E features a workshop and a guest room that can be rented for visitors. Social life centers around the "Festkælderen" (party cellar) located in Block A. The building also has a modern laundry facility in the basement of entrance D, utilizing the Airwallet system for bookings and payment. For resident security, video surveillance is installed in common areas. The college rules are strict regarding smoking, which is only permitted in designated outdoor booths. Pets are not allowed. Rent includes access to the high-speed data network for internet. The building's management is supported by an active resident council (beboerråd), which organizes meetings and looks after the tenants' interests. The location is convenient for SDU Sønderborg students, with the distance to the Alsion campus being exactly 2982 meters, which is approximately an 11-minute bike ride.
