These are rooms not yet rented out – but still offered all the time to the next student in line wishing for that type of accommodation. If you apply for these types, you will receive an offer when you are next in line. Note: Seeing a room here does not guarantee you will immediately receive an offer.

A red building indicates a vacancy rate above 15%. This means a significant share of units in that building are currently unoccupied, which could indicate lower demand.

A yellow (amber) building indicates a vacancy rate between 10% and 15%. This is a moderate level — the building is mostly occupied but has some available units.

Not necessarily. High vacancy can be seasonal or due to new construction. However, persistently high vacancy may indicate issues with location, price, or facilities. Check the desirability score for more context.
