Privacy Policy

1. Introduction

StudentHousingSonderborg protects the privacy of its users. StudentHousingSonderborg is not doing any profiling.

2. Server Location

Server Location: Global CDN via Netlify. See Netlify Privacy Policy for more details.

3. Cookies & localStorage

The website does not store cookies on visitors' devices. It uses localStorage only for functional purposes (e.g., language preference, tour completion status).

4. Third-Party Services

GoatCounter Analytics

The website uses GoatCounter to get stats about the most visited pages. GoatCounter is a GDPR-compliant service which anonymises every single visit and does not store personal information.

What GoatCounter stores

GoatCounter stores information as separate "aggregate" tables per day or hour, with no way to link data between them. For example, it stores browser counts per page path and screen widths per page path—but these are unlinked. This makes it impossible to identify any person.

The following information is stored in aggregate form:

  • Browsers (based on headers sent by the browser)
  • Systems/Operating Systems (based on headers)
  • Locations (based on IP address)
  • Languages
  • Screen widths

Individual pageviews collection is disabled by default. GoatCounter does not use cookies, localStorage, or any tracking methods in the browser.

Session tracking

GoatCounter stores the site name + IP + User-Agent in memory for up to 8 hours as a random generated string. This is not stored in the database—the mapping only exists in memory. If individual pageviews collection were enabled (which it is not), this session ID would be stored; otherwise, no session data is persisted.

No storage in browser

GoatCounter does not store cookies, localStorage, cache, or any other tracking mechanisms in your browser.

Sharing with third parties

No information is shared with third parties.

For more details, see GoatCounter Privacy Policy.
